About Etobicoke
It might surprise you to learn that Etobicoke was built in parallel with the growth of the automobile industry. The population of Etobicoke exploded in the 20 years following World War II, growing from 40,000 to 200,000+, just as automobile ownership was dramatically increasing as well. As a result, city planners incorporated such features as large garages and driveways in residential areas; large parking lots for office buildings and shopping malls; broad streets spacious enough for vehicles to travel comfortably; plenty of gas stations strategically placed at major intersections, etc.
But despite its automotive-based roots, Etobicoke is not all parking lots and gas stations. Far from it. With plenty of green spaces and recreation opportunities, Etobicoke is the perfect blend of family living and urban convenience. For example, Centennial Park, located in northwest Toronto, offers skiing, baseball, softball, soccer, playgrounds, wading pool, picnic areas, and a new BMX bike park. You'll never want for something to do in Etobicoke.
Li Family Dental proudly serves Etobicoke and surrounding areas for all your family’s Etobicoke Dental Clinic needs.
Etobicoke Dental General Dentistry Services:
Preventative Care
One of the most important services we provide at Li Family Dental Etobicoke is simply preventative oral care — when we see you on a regular basis, we can catch issues before they develop into more serious (and costly) dental problems.
Dental Checkups
Preventative care and dental checkups go hand in hand... you can't really have one without the other. While you maintain excellent dental hygiene habits at home, we will help keep problems at bay from the dentist's chair.
Teeth Cleaning
Professional teeth cleaning provides more than just a fresh, sparkling mouth. The benefits of a good deep clean from your dentist go far beyond aesthetics. We can reach places your toothbrush and floss just can't, and if you allow that plaque and tartar to build up in between cleanings, it can wreak all kinds of havoc you may not even be aware of.
Tooth Fillings
One of the most common dental procedures that dentists perform regularly are fillings as a result of cavities. There are many options these days for dental fillings, depending on the extent of decay. The important thing is to come see us at the first signs of a cavity, whether you have tooth pain yet or not. If caught early, the procedure can be much simpler.
Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening is all the rage these days. It's certainly desirable to have whiter, brighter teeth. However, not all teeth whitening methods are the same. Over-the-counter teeth whitening products vary greatly — some are effective, some aren't; some are safe, some aren't. And whatever you do, please don't try any teeth whitening 'hacks' you've seen on TikTok or other social media sites. Some of these 'methods' are downright dangerous. Please come see us for hands down the safest and most effective professional teeth whitening you can get!
Tooth Sealing
Some people are extra prone to cavities and tooth decay through no fault of their own. If you were born with deep grooves in your teeth enamel, this can be easily fixed with tooth sealing, a protective coating applied to the surface of the tooth to prevent damaging bacteria from entering and causing decay. Ask us if sealing may be right for you.
Wisdom Teeth
Not everyone has pain or issues when their wisdom teeth erupt. But for many reasons, your dentist may recommend extraction anyway, to avoid potential issues down the road, especially if you've had orthodontic work where the presence of wisdom teeth could dislodge any corrective alignment you've achieved. If you are experiencing any pain in the back molar area, or have unexplained headaches, or even ear or jaw pain, come see us, as it might be wisdom-tooth-related.
Root Canals
A root canal is not the horrific dental procedure you've been led to believe all these years. The pain you are experiencing is coming from the infection itself, not from the remedy designed to fix it. Infection can spread rapidly in the root of a tooth, so it is vital you make an appointment immediately at the first sign of pain.
Emergency Dental Care
Emergencies happen with the mouth just as easily as they happen anywhere else in the body. If you have experienced damaging trauma or injury to your mouth or teeth, call us right away. We provide emergency dental care when needed.
Children’s Dentistry
At Li Family Etobicoke Dental Clinic our mission is to help kids love coming to the dentist. We talk to our littlest patients on their level, explaining everything we do as we go, making sure they are completely comfortable every step of the way. We believe strongly this sets them up for a lifetime of excellent oral health.
Gentle Dental
Sometimes adults can experience just as much anxiety about going to the dentist as younger patients. And that's okay. We'll meet you where you are, and make sure you are 100% comfortable before proceeding. Dr. Chris is known for his compassionate chair-side manner and 'gentle dental' pain-free methods, so you can feel safe knowing you are in excellent hands.
Etobicoke Dental Cosmetic Dentistry Services
Dental Implants
Dental implants have evolved into the gold standard in tooth replacement. They are the sturdiest, strongest, most natural-looking option if you need to replace one tooth or several. No longer do you have to worry about not being able to eat your favourite foods — with dental implants you can eat what you want with confidence!
Dentures
Dentures are still a viable option for many people who need to replace one tooth or more. There are pros and cons to every tooth replacement method, and your dentist is best qualified to explain what your best option is based on your circumstance.
Dental Crowns
Sometimes a tooth is too damaged for a filling but the root is still strong and healthy. In this case a dental crown may be the best option. At Li Family Etobicoke Dental Clinic, we offer same-day crowns that are natural-looking and affordable, using state-of-the-art CEREC technology.
Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is a painless procedure that may be a viable treatment option for teeth where only minor repairs are required. However, in certain cases bonding may not be the best choice. Let us help decide if you are a good candidate for dental bonding.
Teeth Veneers
Veneers are porcelain “shells” that are permanently affixed to your teeth, typically for cosmetic reasons only. While the process for veneers usually involves two separate visits, at Li Family Etobicoke Dental Clinic we can measure, create, and apply your veneers all in the same day.
Bridge Implants
Bridge implants can be a good solution if you are missing just a single tooth or a string of consecutive teeth. They provide a strong, natural bite and will last for many years. However, if you have gum disease or a weakening jaw bone, bridge implants may not be advisable. We can help you decide if bridge implants are right for you.
